Privacy Policy

佐藤光暁, the operator of CampStack (“we”) handles information in the iPhone app “CampStack” (“the app”) as follows.
1. Information kept only on your iPhone
The following stays on your iPhone and is never sent to our server:
- Your gear (name, category, size, weight, notes and so on), its photos and cut-out stickers
- Packing sets, plans you haven't shared, schedules and daily notes
- Campsite names, addresses and locations (kept on your device even for shared plans)
- The app's settings
Cutting out photos and reading text in them happen on your iPhone. Pictures leave your device only for AI analysis you agreed to (below) and as the sticker images of a plan you share.
2. AI analysis of photos (only if you agree)
If you agree to “Analyze photos with AI” during setup (or in Settings > Autofill from Photo), tapping “Autofill from Photo” sends the following through our server to Anthropic, PBC's AI (Claude), which fills in the gear's name, category and brand (Entry plan and above):
- The cut-out image of the gear (scaled to 512 px on its long edge; never the original photo, where it was taken or camera details)
- Text your device read from the photo that lies within the cut-out gear (text right next to the gear may be included)
Our server doesn't store the image or the text; it keeps only a monthly count of uses. Anthropic automatically deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days of receipt and, by default, doesn't use them to train its models (as described in Anthropic's Privacy Center). You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings > Autofill from Photo; without it, estimates are made on your iPhone only.
3. Information stored on our server (only when you share a plan)
Sharing a plan, or joining one shared with you, requires signing in. We then store:
- Your account identifier (with Sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple issues, and the email address Apple provides, if any, or Apple's relay address)
- Your display name (shown to other members)
- The shared plan's contents: name, dates, number of people, meeting point, plan notes, item rows and notes, the name, category and confirmed size and weight of assigned gear, readiness, and box contents and placement
- Sticker images of the gear in a shared plan (white-outlined cut-outs, shared automatically when the plan is shared; never original photos or locations)
- Records of invitations and join requests
A shared plan is visible only to its members. Your whole gear library, plans you haven't shared, original photos and photo locations are never sent.
4. How we use it
Server information is used only to share, sync, invite and approve members of plans, and to count AI analyses. We don't use it for advertising or tracking, and we don't sell it. The app contains no ads and no analytics.
5. Third-party services
- Server: Supabase (region: Seoul, South Korea)
- AI analysis of photos (only if you agree): Anthropic, PBC (Claude API)
- Sign-in: Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.)
- Purchases: the App Store (Apple Inc.) handles purchases, renewals and restores. We never receive card or other payment details.
6. Stopping sharing, leaving and deleting your account
- A plan's owner can stop sharing at any time; other members can then no longer read it.
- Members can leave a plan at any time.
- You can delete your account in Settings > Account > Delete Account. This deletes the shared plans you created (for their members too), the gear and sticker images you brought to others' plans, your membership records and your account. Gear on your device and plans you haven't shared stay on your device.
- What other members have already seen or saved on their devices, including screenshots, can't be taken back.
- Purchased plans belong to your Apple ID, so after deleting your account you can get them back with “Restore Purchases” on the same Apple ID.
